  15 years ago, Derek became the State Farm Agent who insurance our car and house. We really appreciate how he gradually introduced the idea of putting away money for our retirement. He made suggestions but patiently waited until we were ready to act. Derek Carefully answered all of our questions in an understandable way. Each time we meet with Derek, it was easy to see that he values his customers and is truly invested in their best interest. He has become a trusted friend. We have always been impressed that he is more interested in our current well being and planning for our future than in selling insurance or investments/IRA's. Each worker in the Derek Winkel Agency gives personal attention to customer's questions and needs. We wholeheartedly recommend Derek and his staff for anyone's insurance or investment needs.

  Derek has been my insurance agent for a number of years now. He and his team has always been incredibly helpful whenever I have had questions or needed clarification on various things. I was recently in an accident that was the fault of the other driver so everything went through their insurance company. Having never had to deal with a car accident before, and even though I wasn't making an official claim, Derek and his team went above and beyond in making sure I understood the process and felt comfortable/informed throughout the whole ordeal. They are a pleasure to work with and I can't imagine switching agents!
